- A Private Foundation – is a legal entity which is set us by an individual, a family or a group of individuals for the purpose of philanthropy or an object legal in the economic operation. Its funds and programs are managed by its own trustees or directors. Unlike a charitable foundation, a private foundation does not generally solicit funds from the public. A private foundation does not have the legal requirements and reporting responsibilities of a registered, non-profit or charitable foundation.
- A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) – This is another philanthropic vehicle established at a public charity. It allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax benefit and then recommend grants from the fund over time. A donor contributes to the fund as frequently as they like and then recommends grants to their favorite charity when they are ready.
- Personal, Direct Giving – This is the most common and recognizable form of giving. The key to most form of direct giving is that its implementation is simple. However, with that simplicity comes a trade-off with the ability to control what the amount given is used for.
Social Responsibility: (still need to research this more)
